Vision & Values
Vision Statement
Our church is marked by passionate worship, relevant preaching, loving relationships, and a central focus upon our savior Jesus Christ. Our vision can be summed up in the following statement:
“Embracing our destiny by
Encountering God, Empowering people,
and Engaging our life mission.”
Called to a Purpose
At FFC, we believe that God has called us to a ‘Destiny.’ Destiny means that God has predetermined a specific purpose for our lives. We embrace that destiny as God takes us through a process of personal encounters that ultimately lead us to what God intends for our lives.
That Process Includes:
Embracing Destiny: Salvation is the door to destiny Our salvation is not only the forgiveness of sin, but also the embracing of God’s plan for our lives. God has a future for each of us that is glorious and fulfilling.
Encountering God: God has extended the invitation to us to live in His presence. He has always encountered His people in special ways. We encounter God through personal holiness, the Word of God, prayer, sacrificial worship, and Holy Spirit renewal. Like Moses of old, we have determined never to take another step without His accompanying presence.
Empowering People: God desires to empower His people so they may pursue destiny with supernatural strength. His great pleasure is to empower our witness, our ministry, our identity, and our character and skills.
Engaging the Mission: The harvest field is where earthly destiny is worked out and released. Only as we enter our life mission do we discover how much God has partnered with us. Everything we have been encountered and empowered for is embraced when we engage our life mission.
It is our sincere belief that each person who travels this process of discovery will experience personal transformation and embrace their personal destiny.
FFC CORE VALUES
At FFC, we believe that the vision of God gives us direction on how to pursue life and ministry. However, it is not enough to have a vision to provide us with guidance. We must also have a set of values that keep the vision functioning.
Values are beliefs that establish something’s worth. They are the fuel that make the vision run. It is our values and beliefs that empower the vision and release its life potential.
- We believe that people are so important to God that they deserve the greatest expression of love and care that we have to offer.
- We believe every person has God-given gifts that are to be discovered, developed, and released into ministry for God’s glory.
- We believe God is involved in everything that we do, therefore, everything we do is to be done with passion, enthusiasm, faith, and excellence. God deserves our absolute best.
- We believe people grow mature and are made whole when they are connected in relationships with other believers.
- We believe in identifying and empowering leaders who will in turn identify and empower other leaders.
- We believe the church should be structured in such a way as to guarantee functionality.
- We believe that worship is to be focused upon the glorious exciting Creator, therefore, it should be inspiring, passionate, and Christ-exhalting.
- We believe the most effective for of evangelism occurs by discovering human needs and ministering to them
